Brand Amplification Camp 2009

brandampcamplogow-textWelcome to the first Brand Amp Camp of 2009 (BAC).  Brand Amp Camp is like nothing you’ve ever experienced…and it’s NOT for everyone.  BAC is a total immersion experience where you’ll accelerate your business’s online success by years…saving cash, heartache, and pain.  How can we make such a bold claim? Let’s first explain what BAC is NOT.

Brand Amp Camp is NOT:

  • A day full of speakers whose message quite frankly is the same heard at every business seminar and workshop you’ve been to in the last 10 years.
  • A “get my company to pay for it and just hang out all day” conference.
  • A daylong gathering in a hotel lobby that will send you home with nothing more than a big binder and a USB key with Power Points.
  • A “Get rich on the web in only 24 hours” pitch.
  • A geeky tech gathering where business owners will feel under qualified and overwhelmed.

Brand Amp Camp IS ABSOLUTELY

  • A hands-in-the-dirt full 12 hour day that will take you from having a worthless brochure based website with no interactivity…to a powerful and interactive site that YOU can manage.
  • An intense, total immersion, expertly guided foray into shooting your own video, recording audio, and knowing how…and why to blog.

  6. Business owners’ staff (IT, marketing, etc.) who are “In charge of the company website”.  We strongly encourage the business leader/owner to attend as an additional observer if staff will be in the trenches.

  8. Business owners who want to shape and define a clear web strategy for their businesses and have a platform to execute.

Logistics:

  1. Event will be held on July 11, 2009 from 7am-7pm with after class event at Court Ave. Brewing Company.
  2. Event will be held at 300 SW 5th St, Des Moines, IA 50309 at Impromptu Studio, the location of the createWOWmedia studios and instructional center.
  3. $3000 per person, $500 per additional observer from your company (limit 2 additional observers per company)
  4. A $300 cancellation fee through applies through June 15. ($50 cancellation fee for observers). After June 15th the registration fee is non-refundable.  Remember, we must staff this event with experts, speakers, and professionals for an entire day and we can’t simply send them home.
  5. A training reimbursement may be available from the Iowa’s Department of Economic Development to cover a portion of your investment.  Companies are required to match reimbursed expenses 2 to 1 so effectively, you may be able to get $1000 of this camp reimbursed including travel!   The program description and application can be found here.  The general guidelines say that YOUR company must be in the fields of IT, advanced manufacturing, or bioscience and the employees taking the class must be IT workers (not salespeople, etc.).  Remember, these are simply the qualifications to get the reimbursement…NOT requirements to participate in BAC.  We will have a wide range of technology skill sets at BAC and you will not be required to do overly technical work.
  6. We have 10-15 spots available for each class. These are the “campers” who will be in the trenches.  Additional observers are not counted in this number.
